That’s how many people from Ramseur took advantage of the last two weeks of early voting opportunities: 22.
We’ve got a crucial election going on here folks. Do we keep trying to move our town forward toward a more stable, reliable local government, or do we abandon that work, throw up our hands, and go backward?
Election day is tomorrow, November 7th, and polls will be open from 6:30 in the morning until 7:30 tomorrow night at Southeast Middle School. If you haven’t voted yet is essential that you do so tomorrow. Please vote to keep Mayor Caudle in office. We do not need to go back to the days of street fighting and being the laughingstock of Randolph County.
I hope you’ll also check the box beside my name in the commissioner race. I understand there are now two possible write-in candidates vying for your approval, but so far as I know I am the only candidate with a declared objective of moving this town toward a manager-council form of government. If anyone else is advocating for that they haven’t mentioned it to me.
We CAN afford a manager, and yes, we do need to take power away from the commissioners. If the last ten years have shown us anything, it is that our commissioners have no business acting as a town manager committee. It simply doesn’t work.
Please vote!
